Binodon desk: Mehazabien Chowdhury was mistaken by many for an anonymous girl in an explicit video that went viral on social media using the actress’ name irking much the Lux star.

Mehazabien made no delay to aware her fans about the hoax.

“A video has been circulating today on Facebook and unfortunately some people are confusing it to be me. I request my fans, followers and supporters to not believe any fake news or video,” she wrote in a bilingual post on her verified Facebook account.

The popular small screen actress took the matter to law enforcers as well.

“I have already talked to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Cyber Crime Department, they will take actions against those who are spreading or helping to spread fake news/video,” she disclosed the legal step she has taken against the offenders, in the same post.

The post was shared 6,000 times till filing this report Tuesday afternoon (September 17).

Mehazabien Chowdhury is said to be one of the most successful TV actresses of recent time.
